Protecting specific cells on Excel for Mac

By anja.oosthuizen ·
Hi

I want to protect specific cells on a spreadsheet - not formulas, but values.
How can I do this on Excel for Mac?

thanks!

Not sure about a MAC... but....

... the PC version is done through Tools/Protect Sheet.

The way it works is that all cells are locked by default. You unlock the cells you want people to be able to change (in cell formatting), then turn on Sheet protection, password is optional. All locked cells are then protected.

I'm sure the MAC version has something similar.
