How can I set up a proxy server in Linux?

Hi!

http://www.squid-cache.org/

Install and configure this according to docs and howtos and install files.

It's a very good proxy and web cache server.

Chek it out, you'll like it.

If you're using redhat you can probably find rpm packages with squid too.

apache comes with mod_proxy module. compile.

./configure -prefix=/dir/where/you/want/to/install/apache \-enable-mode=proxy

configure directives:
(ProxyRequests off, etc.. read docs.)
