Qualcomm QCA61x4A Won’t Work

Hi everyone,
I have a precision 5520 laptop running Windows 10. I recently preformed a network reset, which afterwords wiped my WiFi adapters. Afterwords, I went to device manager and saw a warning symbol under Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) and Qualcomm QCA61x4A 11ac Wireless Adapter. For each one, when I click properties, it says “Windows is still setting up class configuration for this device. (Code 56)”. How do I fix this? I currently can’t use the WiFi on my computer

Hope you can connect with Ethernet to get drivers?

I’m unable to use Ethernet because there is not a Ethernet port on my computer. Do I have to reinstall windows? Thank you for the response btw!

For this problem I usually carry the needed driver over from another PC to this PC on some USB memory stick.

That doesn’t sound correct.

Why would we install this driver on another PC, and then bring it over?

I download the driver on another PC then copy that driver installer file to the stick, eject the stick, bring the stick to the other PC and then install the driver there.

Sorry but all we have is English, as bad as it is. I have to take your word you did what you wrote above.

Thank you for the reply, What I did was I went to https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/precision-15-5520-laptop/drivers and downloaded “ Qualcomm QCA61x4A/QCA9377 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver”. It installed a .EXE which I put on the usb stick. I then plugged the usb stick onto the computer with driver problems, and then ran the EXE. After restart, I still had the problem.

Hopefully you can get away with just the network reset and driver removal and install. They don’t write it but I had to reboot once or twice as well.

If that fails and there’s no other clues then a clean install along with necessary drivers are required.

ALL the NUCs I encounter were from Intel. So I get the drivers from … Intel.

I downloaded Dell drivers because my laptop is made by Dell. I’m unsure on what a NUC is.

I’m also discussing the same issue on an Intel NUC which is a very small form factor PC.

-> I [b]disagree[/b] with Microsoft here about automatic driver updates. Great way to automatically break things.
Read the discussion then DISABLE WINDOWS AUTOMATIC DRIVER UPDATES then repeat the advice about network reset, driver removal and install.

If this fails, shop for some USB WiFi dongle.
