Question about Apple app Store and in-app purchases

    2 Questions.

    1. What’s better or does it matter? Taking payments for an app…should we have this so people pay through the store because it’s streamlined (but apple and android take 30%) or could we just use our current payment system through the app (authorize) and have them fill out their CC information manually? Does it matter? I’d like to hear from somebody who has experience with this so we can finally take our app live..this decision has been killing us.

    2. How long does it typically take to get registered for the apple app store? We submitted our application weeks ago and have not heard anything back and are not sure if we should re-submit it or still wait? Advice please.
Android was easy to sign up for, instant…Apple..is proving impossible. Advise Please.

In reply to Question about Apple app Store and in-app purchases

      Hi,

      1. It depends on what you are selling. Digital goods (aff features, in-app currency, etc.) can only be purchased by in-app purchases (which take 30% cut), but physical goods (clothes, groceries, etc.) can only be purchased by standard payment methods (credit card, Apple Pay, etc.). It is stated in the Apple Review Guidelines https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/ and you should read it carefully to avoid any rejections from the App Store regarding payments.

      2. Do you mean registering your Apple Developer account? It depends whether you are registering as an individual or an organization (organizations require DUNS number which you have to obtain beforehand.) My advice is to reach out to Apple Support and ask them what is the status with your application.
