Question for Yahoo Mobile Gurus

Using a cell/PDA hybrid, can I sync with Yahoo mail thru a PC, but not using a local client (like Outlook)? The web features of Yahoo are great because I’m not restricted to “a” PC for mail, calendar, tasks, etc.

I know this can be done thru my carrier’s (Cingular) datanet, but I don’t want to pay a boatload per month for something I don’t really need (as of yet). I’m really more interested in being able to sync the PDA with the calendar, tasks and contacts so I will have the info at hand. Most of my email can wait until I’m in front of a PC.

Any help would be appreciated. Any feedback on cell/PDA devices to do this with would be appreciated also.
