    Quick Settings not opening properly

    I can no longer access Quick Settings in Windows 11 the way I used to to see available wifi networks. If I use Win+A, the action center will open and the available wifi networks, volume, etc. can be accessed. Before, I could click on the network icon or the sound icon and it would open. Now it won’t open that way. Clicking on the sound icon just opens the volume setting for the speaker, and clicking on the network icon opens a gray block which quickly disappears. Win+A opens everything, so I know Quick Settings is working. It’s just accessing it that is the problem. Can anyone help?

      Sounds like a bug. What version of Windows exactly do you run?
      I assume winver in command mode still works in Windows 11.

      It’s unlikely to be an issue that you caused. That is, Microsoft is still working, changing this area. Since a huge patch came out yesterday, get Windows 11 updated and then report the bug to Microsoft.

        I installed the update already on both my machines. Nothing changed- one works, the other doesn’t.

          I’m running into weird W11 issues on a few computers. They share something in common. They were upgraded from W10. Clients will not pay anyone to dig deep so the fix so far has been to clean install W11.

      Ways to Fix Quick Settings Not Working on Windows 11

      Run the System File Checker. If you suspect that your system has some corrupted system files, you should perform a System File Checker (SFC) scan.
      Use the DISM Tool.
      Re-register the Action Center.
      Modify the System Registry.
      Perform a Clean Boot.
      Perform a System Restore.
