Qutlook 2000 VPN

I have been using Windows XP Professional and Office 2000 on my home computer. I used to be able to log into my business email through Symantic VPN over a Novell network from my home computer in a matter of seconds and on my first attempt. I accidently changed my profile in Outlook and now it takes 2 to three attempts to connect to my office email and several minutes.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
