RAID / BIOS Problem

By agoodman ·
I just had the (Gigabyte) motherboard replaced on a new XP-Pro machine with RAID-1. The system asks to load a new piece of HW on startup. I traced it to what I think is the RAID configuration since Computer Management now shows 2 HDs.

I went into the BIOS to enable RAID in a couple of different spots under Peripherals. I now get the RAID functions exposed on boot. The initial screen shows the volume, but nothing else when I go into recovery (ie, no 'mirrored' or 'striped' volume. When Windows tries to initiate I get the dreaded 'missing file' error message, in this case HAL.ddl.

Cannot find anything anywhere on how to recover the RAID. Am I hosed here, or is there a solution I'm missing?

Thanks for any help. alg
