RAS saves password after a period of tim

By jwestendorf ·
I have Windows NT 4.0 Workstation installed, with Service Pack 6a, as my main system at home. I have RAS/DUN installed and configured to NOT save the password. The password authentication is set to "include any authentication including clear text." If I disconnect from the internet, and re-dial the next day, the password is saved again and will not allow me to connect to my ISP. I have to go in and unsave the password in order to connect. Anyone out there have any idea what is going on?Thanks,

What about settings in your IE? IE intentionally saves password even if it isn't allowed by user.. Try not to use IE's feature like "dial up when not connected".

I had the same trouble but now I do use RAS Dialup Icon and start IE only when connection is _established_

The first answer looks good to me. If that doesn't work, try something else. Hope this helps.
