I am new to your site and was drawn into the question – now closed – about lilo. The reply given for removing lilo on a dual boot system with Windows is, of course, correct.
The problem, however, is using lilo to dual boot with Windows to begin with. Lilo can be installed in either the MBR or the root superblock of the Linux partition. Windows assumes that it and its Microsoft brothers are the only operating systems in existence and does not enjoy sharing the MBR. Lilo should go into the Linuxpartition and it is best the use something like System Commander to do your dual boots.
Sorry, this isn’t really a question.
