I am trying to enable the ability to monitor my Epson printer from a network computer. At the printer server (WinMe), I cannot enable this option within the printer’s properties because “IPX/SPX is running on the computer.” I remember manually removing this protocol from the Network Configuration, and it is not listed in the Network Configuration dialog box. Based on other things I have read, and this situation, there is much reason to believe that this protocol is still being loaded at somelevel, even though it is not bound to anything. Does anyone know how to really stop IPX/SPX from working, or being present, on a WinMe machine? Thanks in advance.
