Recover item emptied from NT recycle bin

A .dbf file was deleted in error from an NT 4.0 server and the recycle bin emptied a couple of days before the error was discovered. How can the file be recovered? Are there any tested utilities that can help recover this file?
Checked out a coupleof utilities on the web but they fail to recover files deleted from the recycle bin.
