recover the user profile

The user lost everything in his profile and logon with the fresh login profile. When we resotore the system with the previous date. All the folders documents but the data.
What could be reason? There is no event log related to this. How the profile has been deleted because user doesn’t have rights to create or delete the user.
The folder was shared but access was only to that user.
