Recovering Emails in Exchange After Account is Deleted in AD

Hi,

We had an employee leave the company so we deleted his account in Active Directory. We are running Windows SBS 2003 and Exchange 2003. I’m wondering if there is a way to recover the emails for this account. I went into the mailboxed in Exchange and it is still in there but it has a red “X” on it which means it’s marked for deletion? Please help!
