Assumes that my Red Hat Linux Server 7.1 has the IP Address 192.168.0.1 (Internal IP) and W.X.Y.Z for Internet use. Suppose my university has a lot students and all of the students can access ftp server (Red Hat Linux Server 7.1 that has address W.X.Y.Z, which can access internal/external). The issue that I would like to do is that all of the students can access only their home directories and cannot change their directories to other directories using the ftp commands like “cd”, etc…, that means for example user “richard” can access only his home directory (“/home/richard/…”) and he cannot go up to other directories like “/bin, /boot, /, etc…”. What should I do? Thank you so much for your assistance.
Sincerely yours,
Chan Choth
