I have a Compaq Presario 2100. A couple weeks ago, I noticed a weird phenomenon. I get red “snow” (like on a fuzzy TV channel) on my screen in places where there should be black. For example, when the computer first turns on, there used to be a black screen with the Compaq logo. Now there’s a *red* screen. And on my windows desktop, the parts of my background that ought to be black are red. It’s not a huge deal, since this is an aging machine and I mostly use it for word processing, but I was wondering what is causing this and if there was anything I could do to fix it?
