I am running Redhat Linux 6.0 on a PIII 450 mhz w/128 mb. This PC runs some batches to run expect scripts on our SCO system overnight. Quite often – not always – I come in to a blank screen on the monitor. The Linux box is still running and I cantelnet into it from my PC on the network but I need to know how to get the monitor screen back on the Linux box without rebooting or even better stop it from going blank in the first place. I leave it at the Linux prompt and not in X at night.
Also this Linux box defaults to the wrong time when I reboot. I’ve checked the CMOS setting and that is right. The time is about 5 hours prior to our current time.
Your help is appreciated in advance.
Thanks
Sarah
