Regedit.exe

In Access (Office 2003) I am trying to copy a large column of info, 16166 items, and I get the message File sharing lock count exceeded. How do I “Increase MaxLocksPerFile”? What is the Regedit.exe or SetOption method. I can’t find info on either of thise methods to change the lock count. Thank you,Jennie
