    Registrar blocked domain

    Can a registrar block my domain name immediately after the expiration date? I just didn’t have time to renew in time. I checked that it is now possible to recover my domain name for $180. Why so expensive?

      Obviously, he can, because he did it.
      I’m afraid the price isn’t regulated. It’s a free market.

      Didn’t you have a permanent subscription, paid from your creditcard. Then it should never expire. Check the small print of your contract.

      What domain zone are you using? I had a similar situation, only at the Pananames https://pananames.com/ registrar. The domain name, of course, was not immediately blocked. I renewed at the regular price. Well, if it is delayed, it will cost $66.42.
