Reject an internal email

By chris smith ·
I want to keep a mailbox visible in the GAL, but for it to never accept messages from internal recipients (but be able to send messages). We use Exchange 5.5SP4 and Outlook 2000SR2. Using an Outlook client based rule is out of the question!

In Exchange Administrator, there is a tab labelled Delivery Restrictions. Change the left-hand button from All to List, and define a single mailbox in that list (your own or an admin one). There must be at least one mailbox on the list for this towork.

I had tried this before, but using my own account to test it without the desired result, but when tested with another account it worked as I needed, thank you for confirming my suspicions!
