I have Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 installed so that it connects to my remote MS SQL (205) instance. I used the BCM Database Admin Tool to create the database on the SQL instance. It works fine, but I cannot find a way to restrict users from deleting or modifying contact data through Outlook. If I add a user as a member of a role like denydatawriter, those permissions are applied, but when trying to implement more granular permissions, like deny delete or modify on a specific BCM table, the user is still able to delete or modify the data. I have tried to apply permissions to both SQL users and SQL database roles. Does anyone have any idea what I am missing? Thanks!
