Remote Desktop Problem

by jspollock . Updated 17 years, 6 months ago

Remote Desktop used to work on my computer, but now it doesn’t.

+ Remote Desktop is enabled in System Properties
+ Port 3389 is forwarded on my wireless router for UDP and TCP
+ Port 3389 says listening for TCP when I do a netstat -a on the Command line
+ on Local Services there is only Remote Desktop Help Session Manager, Remote Access Connection Manager and Remote Access Auto Connection Manager, but no plain Remote Desktop

Now to probably the big issue, although Remote Desktop used to work, so I am not sure why IIS isn’t running.
+ When I Add/Remove Windows Components and try to add IIS and Remote Desktop it asks for a source where the DLL files are. I don’t have the original Windows CDs, so I am not sure what to do. I tried downloading the DLL files from the web and pointing to those, but that apparently didn’t work.

Somebody please help. I really want my Remote Desktop back. Thx

Stephen
