Hello all! *excited* First time to post a question on a site I read religiously on a daily basis! Good Work all to a wonderfully kept and maintained site! Keep up the GREAT WORK! Ok to my question (Actually 2 questions:] ):
Seems a stupid question, but I honestly don’t know the answer. In the ‘Add-Remove programs’ in either Vista or XP, sometimes there appears in the populated list”Remove Only”. What exactly are these? Is this the installer app. for the program? Perhaps so you can clean up space by removing the installer after installation?
And in the same lists…
I have TONS of items like “security update for Windows Explorer KB XXX.xx etc”, “Update for XP” Hot fix for XP” (and/or IE)…
Can these updates be removed in the list (uninstalled) safely? In other words are these the actual updates, and removing them in this list will not effect XP or IE7… Will the security updates remain embedded in XP and IE7 if I uninstall in this list?
