Removing “Links” from Favorites

I’m anal about organizing my Favorites in IE; however, every time I delete the “Links” Favorites directory that MS puts there, it comes back. How do I delete it permanently? I’m sure there’s a line in the Registry that keeps creating it again and again. Thank you.
