    Removing Ms Access Password.

    Locked

    by glmb ·

On a workstation I am using password was set in the Ms Access security settings.Every time I click on Access a logon dialogue box appears. I am fortunate that the password field was left blank so I can just click OK and I’m in. When I want to disable the password setting in the security settings it says I have to logon as an admin. But I don’t know the admin password.I even tried editing the Windows Regitry Settings \Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Access\Settings key to disable the password but I’m getting no where.
    Please can anyone help..
    Thanks alot.

I just ran into this problem not long ago, and the only answer I received was to (of course) set password to balnk, then create a new database and import the tables, relationships, and such. Make sure that you can open the new database without security settings.
