Renewing Enterprise CA Certificate

I am trying to renew my Enterprise CA certificate but getting the error below, what do I need to do? I am trying to renew with same Private and Public keys, would renewing them help?

A certificate in the chain for CA certificate 1 for xxxx Enterprise CA has expired. A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file. 0x800b0101 (-2146762495 CERT_E_EXPIRED).

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/53249.active-directory-certificate-services-enterprise-ca-architecture.aspx kicks it around but I’d talk to who set this up for you and pay them to renew it if your company IT group is lacking the skills.
