1. Download Dbase III Plus and run
2. use corrupt DBF
3. copy structure to new dbf
4. append data from corrupt DBF file
5. rename to required name of new dbf

by Alice Samanta In reply to Repair an old foxpro dbf ...

Thanks for sharing a smart technique to fix old FoxPro dbf file, it works for me. Previously, I was getting several error messages some of them which really interrupts my work are:

"Error messages: “Corrupt table”/ “index header”.
"Invalid database – please validate database”.
“Table dBase not correct”.
“Database file appears corrupt: Page xyz is of the wrong type.”
“Error instantiating cursor objects. Could not find (table file name)”.
“Memo File is Missing/Invalid”.

But, later on, I was getting several other errors due to which I was not able to perform desired actions, and unfortunately there was no backup then for complete database recovery I choose another approach to fix it so that such errors don't interrupt me frequently and secure my dbf files.
