Repairing Win98/2000 Dual Boot Files

by nordeide . Updated 24 years, 11 months ago

Hello,

I have a computer with both Win98SE and
Win2000, and I use Win2000’s dual-boot
facility.

Now, I have managed to delete the
BOOTSECT.DOS file in C:\ (Booo…!), which
means that I cannot boot to Win98. I still
have the options ofWin98 and Win2000 in the
boot menu, but if choose Win98, I get an
error telling that the file BOOTSECT.DOS is
missing (true). I can still boot to Win2000,
though.

So, is there a way to rebuild the files
necessary for dual-booting?

Thanks!
