Repartition a server

By rbmccall1 ·
I have 1 hdd partitioned with win2K server on one and database files on the other. The OS partition needs more space. Is there any software available that can do this? PM 8 can't be installed on server version os.

Powerquest has developed volume manager for this.

More info here: http://powerquest.com/volumemanager/

Hope this helps.

I haven't tried it with Win2K Server but it's worth a shot! Install PM8 on another system w/ non-server OS and make rescue disks (they are OS independent). Boot server system from rescue disks and repartition from there. You should be able to move, resize, etc. while keeping all data intact. Of course backup all important data first. Please comment if you try it and especially if it works!

I forgot to mention that the PartitionMagic CD should be bootable as well. It works the same as the rescue disks.
