Replacing a Win2k domain controller
Problem: One of the controllers has crashed and I needed to replace the motherboard, cpu and install the OS from scratch. All of the machine characteristics are the same (name, ip, etc.). The domain still shows the old machine name as part of the domain and as a controller. This is my question:
What do I need to do to bring this newly built replacement server back into the domain as a controller? Should I leave the references that already show up as-is or delete them. What else do I need to do?
Thanks in advance.
