Replicate XP Profile when move to Domain

by baw_carolina . Updated 23 years, 9 months ago

I have a mixed client environment of WinXP, Win9X, running as a Workgroup. I have added a NT 4.0 Domain Controller and have switched all machines to Domain login. On the XP Pro machines, how do I replicate the users old “local machine” profile to their new Domain profile? Not using roaming profiles here.
All users use Outlook to POP a remote mail server (not Exchange). PST files are critical.
I have tried copying profile from My Computer, Properties, Advanced tab, User Profile, SETTINGS.
But it only shows 69MB and current PST file for this user is 1.1G, If I browse under Documents & Settings\ I can punch down all the way to the PST so I know it is under what should be that profile setting, and should get copiedto the new profile I point it too. Doing this logged onto the machine as “local” administrator.
Any ideas? My other XP Pro box at the same location, copied profile just fine….
