Repurposing Adobe PDF content to .doc

By dina.michel ·
I have tried to save Adobe PDF documents to other formats like Word. I have save the doc to RTF and then imported it to Word. The doc looks like it is all in code. Does anyone know an easier way of repurposing Adobe PDF content to Word or Excel?

You can save the text to Word document by selecting Edit, Copy to clipboard in Acrobat and then pasting into Word.
Selecting the Text tool, selecting and copying allows you to selectively paste into a doc.

Yes I know how to copy and paste. I used the word "repurposing" . I want to be able to modify the doc.
Also I am using Acrobat Read/Write 5.0.1.

Side note to dustyD's answer.

You need Adobe Acrobat.
You cannot do this with the free reader.

Try this address

It seems to work with some acrobat files. Otherwise about the only export I've had work from adobe products from a pdf is to make an image not a document. Good Luck!
