research on b2b

By Shanghai Sam ·
hello i am a business planner and soon i amto start off witha new venture that is b2b market setup

i am to set up a market place where project seekers can post their needs and service providers can post their bids. after being choosen a provider can complete the project as per the seeker's requirement

for exmaple, a cement manufacturing unit needs a software to manage their supply chain, for which it posted its needs in our platform similarly an application developer may bid and win it and thus may do the project. payment will be online thru' us and we would charge from the buyers of the services a small fee as service charge

i want to know if this sort of market place survive or not, ofcourse i am to give it a offline shape like we are having a response center where a team of management executives would help in sorting out project requirements and help in posting and sorting out the right suppliers

pls suggest if this is good enough further i ahve prepared a set of surveyquestionnaires which i want to be responded from you all pls suggest a place where may i put them and how

thank you for your help and suggestions

k

Competitors

I believe there are already players in this space. Check out ITRadar, which we bought. Also, a search on the site should come up with something about these type of companies. At Gartner's ITxpo last year, they predicted big things for these companies, but, frankly, I haven't heard of a lot of successes. You might want to contact a research firm about this before investing.
