By yswongau ·
I have a Dell 505 laptop. The laptop screen is dead so I am using a external monitor. I know the harddisk passowrd but how can I remove my harddisk password as the external screen does not show until windows logon? Thanks Sam

"#4 Turn on the monitor and the computer. If the screen is blank, press the button input selection (). Make sure that the correct input is selected. If still no picture appears, check the User Guide for further troubleshooting."

Also, I suggest you change your post title to reflect you actual question - which is how to see BIOS boot or setup via an external monitor. (You should not have to wait for Windows.) "Password" questions do not fly very well in this forum.
