    Resizing partitions with Partition magic

    by dazz123 ·

    Hi all,

I have 3 partitions with some unallocated space. The last partition (lets call it partition 3) is sitting next to the unallocated space in the partition magic application i.e. at the end.

I want to give all this unallocated space to the middle partition (partition 2). What would be the best way of doing this?

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

You must be a first time Partition Magic user. Before you do anything, be sure you have backups of all 3 partitions. PM is very reliable, but one hiccup, including a power failure, while the changes are being being made will render the partitions unusable. Recovery from THAT is a reformat.

      1. Move partition 3 all the way to the right.
      2. Expand partion 2 to use all of the unallocated space that is now inbetween partitions 2 and 3.
