Response.Redirect

By kirkk ·
I have several forms which are posted to their respective edit_.asp pages. The edit pages redirect to a mail page which redirects back to the original form page. But the redirect doesn't work on the mail page. Is this because you can't do two redirects in a row or what?

Response.Redirect

You should be able to do two redirects in a row. On your mail page, make sure you call response.redirect before sending any page content to the browser. Try calling response.clear before you call redirect.

If you're using ASP 3.0 - try calling Server.Transfer() instead.

Hope this helps.

I'm giving you the points since these are new commands to me, but it turns out the culprit appears to have been an invisible character! I've had this problem before, where everything looks right, but doesn't work. Erasing and rewriting clears the problem up.
