retrieve emails

Hi, problem is hard drive gets part through loading Win2000 and freezees, hard drive is making a very loud clicking noise, so I think it has died, anyway attached this hard drive as slave drive and can read all data, the owner is freaking out about her emails and can I retrieve them. Is there a way to do this via windows explorer.
I have looked in the Outlook Express folder but nothing about emails there, are they hidden anywhere else, where does outlook store emails and can I retrieve them, Hope so thanks for the help

In windows explorer, make sure that you are able to view hidden files/folders. Browse to DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS, username of the person, local settings, application data, identities, whichever identity number she is (you will probably have to look around to find the right one), microsoft, outlook express. copy all of the .dbx files and paste them into the same location on her new computer.
