RIS, PXE boot

My main domain controller failed on me and I rebuilt the server (Server 2000) and reinstalled RIS on the server. Now my RIS only works on the same subnet as the RIS server? When I run the pxe boot process I get all the information except for a gateway(the DHCP settings have the gateway) and then it errors out with a “No proxy server” error message. I checked all router settings and they are pointing to the RIS server. Any help would really be appreciated!
