Roxio to older Adaptec

I wanted to retreive some tutorials for photoshop. However, the time to download them via a Dialup connection was rediculusly s-l-o-w, so I had a friend with DSL do it; much-faster!. He got all I asked, then burned them to CD using Roxio. I loaded the CD, but I was only able to see an Autorun.inf, UdfrChk.exe and udfrinst.zl, and nothing more. Can it be that the Adaptec CD application is not able “read” the Roxio one? I can see that the disk is approx. half full. If I enable the UdfrChk.exe on the CD would it interact adversly with the Adaptec version, which I have no plans on scraping?
