Running Office 2000 in Windows XP

By rovoco ·
Customer is running Office 2000 SP3 in WIN 98SE.
Will be upgrading to Windows XP SP2 on a new PC.
Can anyone confirm for me that Office 2000 will run in Windows XP SP2 without any problems?

I have spent hours on the Microsoft web site searching for an answer and haven't found one.

Thanks!

We have several such installations here. That said, Office 2000 is a terrible APP as you will need the CD for every different user logged in and giving them Admin rights helps too. They should really spring for an upgrade to 2003. My two cents.

It will work but it will not be the best alternative available. If they are just holding out till the new office becomes available there will be no problems but as the above poster has said Office Y2K isn't the best available.
