Runtime error

When opening a email in my deleted folder my Outlook 2002 freezes up and gives me this error

-pure virtual function call

I have over 5000 emails in that folder could this be the problem

Hard to say.

5000 emails in ANY folder is way too many anyway.

If you clean things up a bit, you will see a noticeable improvement in system performance.

Personally, I get nervous when any folder has over 200 messages, or the total of all folders exceeds 1000 messages.

Delete all the old messages that you do not need in both the Sent and Deleted folders.
If there are ANY messages in either folder that you do need, MOVE them to a different folder!!!

Removing old and excess messages will free up system resources and speed up your PC.

Hey TheChas I agree. I thought that was the answer but try to tell the executives here.They want all of there emails in their folders and no where else.
