.SAM files

I have a client that is in the process of writing a book. She saved what she’s writting on floppy. She now has a new computer with all new programs. The old computer was a 386 with Win 95. The new one has Win 98. When she tries to open her floppies,it wants to know what to open with. The files are all .sam files. I’m not familiar with that extension and she isn’t sure if she used Lotus to write them. Does anyone know of a converter that she could use to open these files so she can save them as.doc? She said she has Lotus on a 5 inch floppy but the new computer doesn’t have that kind of drive.
