Samsung Galaxy S21 5G won’t scan QR codes in camera app

Hi

I’ve looked online for information about this but none of the suggestions are working.

In the camera app settings, I have made sure that “Scan QR Codes” is turned on.

Some online suggestions say to click on the “Bixby Vision” on the camera, but I don’t have that option.

There is a bixby vision app that I can get to, but it will only look for similar images. It doesn’t scan the QR code.

This is a company phone so I can’t download a separate QR scanner.

So you go and ask the company helpdesk. That’s what they are for.

Back to the company to either fix or replace the phone. Strange that the company would not test QR since it’s part of your job.

I use the same phone as you do. Try going to your settings menu. Go to the camera settings. Go to Scan QR codes. There should be an on/off button to the right of that menu. If it is blue, it is on and if white it is off. If white, press on that selector to turn it on. Hope that helps. If it does, there is no need to download another application.
