I visit a mountain location in the Southern Sierras, they are served by Verison IR service which at times is very sketchy at best; especially when it snows and the up mountain dish gets covered. We are looking for a Satellite Phone System that “REALLY” works any where!!!! We have tried using the “GlobalStar”system and it was like “Bobbing for apples in the Pacific Ocean.
You get dizzy turning and your arm gets tired holding the phone skywards trying to find a signal! $600-800 of nothing.
There must be a system out there that works? We are looking for a Satellite Back up system for emergency purposes when the phones are out or there has been a fire in the surrounding areas which take out our land lines for sometimes four weeks! Anyone out there that can help, please contact me. George
