SAV Auto Protect

By danielf.cuomoj ·
Does anyone know how to monitor when Symantec Antivirus Auto-protect has been disabled. We would like to be notified via email or other method when this event occurs. Called Symantec support who were unable to even comprehend the problem. Using Corporate Edition 10 and up.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, this may work

You could write a simple script and use the scheduller to run it (at certain intervals). Use the sc query command to return the status of the SAV and then an "if - then" to alert you to a failed status. Perhaps through a net send or SMTP relay.
