Saving Much Needed Space

By The Young One ·
Running XP and I am using the GUI Attended Sysprep Wizard. I am trying to minimise the size of my image and find Windows Files that are not necessary and are rebuilt when required. I have already removed the pagefile from my image as I know this is rebuilt according to machine specs and capabilities.

Looking thru the Windir, I have found two folders I am unsure about...LastGood and LastGood.tmp

I know these are to do with the Last Known Good Configuration, but how often is this rebuilt and can it be removed if I know that my image is solid and working beautifully?

Are there any other folders that can be removed to minimise the size of the image?

Problem being that when I have the i386 folder in my Sysprep folder, my image becomes about 180mb larger (which is rectified when the wizard is finished) but after the wizard is finished I still only have ~ 270 mb free and I would much prefer more in case a dump file needs to occur and so on.

Cheers in advance,

PS...I have already turned off hibernation and set my System Restore points as 7 days for their Time to Live.
