Saving Word and Excel Files

When i try to save any Word or Excel File it will always point to “My Documents” folder instead of the folder i opened the file from. It aslo changes the filename. Example if i open file “Test” on desktop, when i click “save as” it will try to save it as “Test1” in My Documents. It is VERY frustrating!!!

Do you have full write access to the original folder ?

Yup….absolutely. Tried creating a document and saving it onto the desktop. Then opened the file again and clicked “Save As” but same problem came up. Thks for your the suggestion though!!

Office had to be reinstalled to solve problem
