SBS 4.5 BDC?

Can SBS 4.5 be configured as a bdc and made to contact the PDC over a phone line?...sounds sorta elementary but i understand SBS has some limitations..thx

Not a good idea. SbS probably has enough to do already, without being a bdc as well!

Also, the phone traffic would be horrendous, and the delay in the dial up would probably cause login failures.

If you must, then make it a PDC of its own domain, and minimise any reason to contact the other domain.

But please try to avoid if poss!

Small Business Server will only install as a Primary Domain Controller. This means you can integrate additional Windows NT Server computers into the network but you cannot integrate Small Business Server into a network with an existing Primary Domain Controller.

Unforunately Microsoft see it's market in the small single domain market and not larger networks.
