SCAM OR NOT

By andy ·
IF A PERSON CALLED SIMON ASHTON (SIMON_25_@HOTMAIL.CO.UK)
CONTACTS YOU THROUGH EMAIL DON'T MAIL HIM BACK. DELETE HIM BECAUSE HE IS
A
HACKER!!

TELL EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST BECAUSE IF SOMEBODY ON YOUR LIST
ADDS HIM THEN YOU WILL GET HIM ON YOUR LIST. HE WILL FIGURE OUT YOUR
ID COMPUTER ADDRESS, SO COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE EVEN IF
YOU
DON'T CARE FOR THEM AND FAST BECAUSE IF HE HACKS THEIR EMAIL HE HACKS
YOUR
MAIL TOO!!!!!..

GOT THIS IN THE MAIL WHAT SHOULD I DO IGNORE OR ACT ON IT

Jumping up and down, holding your crotch, and hyperventilating.

Your problem will soon resolve itself.

this makes me want to email SIMON_25_@HOTMAIL.CO.UK and call him a few names... how bout signing him up for a whole mess of porn, that might be more entertaining....

Because he may be innocent

by CharlieSpencer In reply to hm.... tempting....

Simon_25 might not have done anything except look sideways at Andy's boyfriend. You're assuming this uppercase-screaming, tin foil-wearing whack job knows what he's talking about (assuming he had the smarts to create this message and isn't just copying and pasting from somewhere else).

Very true....

And what's the difference between he and you?

by CharlieSpencer In reply to SCAM OR NOT

Q. What's the difference between my e-mailing everyone on my list with this warning and Simon_25 e-mailing everyone on my list?

A. More people are likely to receive and resend the bogus warning than Simon_25 could ever dream of reaching.

Andy, in your case you should ALWAYS ignore anything that instructs you to "Send this to everyone you know". ALWAYS.

Sound advice

You should send it to everyone you know. ;\

Jelli, you're cordially invited

to eat sh!t and die. And I mean that in the nicest possible way

Edited. Apparently we can no longer replace the 'i' in shitake with '!' and still get past the filters.
