hi there,
This is the infamous sircam virus that is sweeping the globe for the past few weeks. I am surprised that you were not aware of this virus till now. Whatever virus software you are running right now, it is time to update the virus definitions on your computers and rid yourself of this pest. It spreads through email, sending itself to every email address in your users' address book as well as to any email address on pages held in your cache. I use norton virus scan, www.symantec.com
they will give you all the info you will need to get rid of the sircam virus.
Good luck!

Mike

Direct troubleshooting steps for Sircam virus are as follows. Take a backup of registry before performing the below-given modifications:

A. Click the Start button, Run and type in REGEDIT in the Open field.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open and click on it.
On the right side of the screen is a Name column and a Data column. Locate and right-click on (Default) under the Name column. A pop-up menu will appear. Left-click on Modify. Delete all text in the Value and type the following characters (WITHOUT THE BRACKETS): ["%1" %*] If you are unsure of how the characters should be, the following is a spelled out version of the correct characters: quote, percentage, one, quote, space, percentage, asterisk. Click the OK button.

B. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Sircam folder. Highlight, right click then hit delete.

C. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices. Single click on the RunServices Folder so it is highlighted. On the right side of the screen is a Name column and a Data column. Under the Name column locate and single-click on 25. Driver32 = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SCam32.exe so it is highlighted. Press the Delete key on the keyboard to remove the entry. Close the RegistryEditor.

Remove reference in Autoexec.bat file. Click Start, Run, edit c:\autoexec.bat. Remove the line "@win \recycled\sirc32.exe" if present. Click File and then click Save.
